Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp
Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp
The Princeton Tec Fred is a small, lightweight, feature-rich headlamp that’s easy to use. Three white Ultrabright LEDs produce up to 200 lumens of dimmable flood light, and a dedicated red LED preserves your night vision. It weighs only 2.8 ounces with batteries, so it’s comfortable to wear for hours. A wide flood beam gives you bright peripheral vision for close-up work, early-morning hikes, camp chores, and hands-free tasks around the house or on the job.
The Fred is built around a large, easy-to-press button that’s simple to use even with gloves. In white mode you can dim the output smoothly anywhere between 200 and 30 lumens to match the task. It runs on three standard AAA alkaline batteries, which are included and easy to replace anywhere. An asymmetrical mounting bracket rotates 180° to direct the light straight up or down, and an adjustable headband keeps it secure.
Key Features:
200 Lumens of Dimmable White Flood Light – Three Ultrabright white LEDs deliver a wide beam out to 21 meters, with smooth dimming down to 30 lumens for close-range work and longer runtime.

180° Rotating Mounting Bracket – Tilts the beam straight up or down to put light exactly where you need it.
Powered by Three AAA Batteries – Runs on three included AAA alkaline batteries that are inexpensive and available almost anywhere.
Lightweight, Comfortable Fit – Weighs just 2.8 oz.
IPX4 Water Resistant – Handles splashes from any direction and quick dunks, ready for wet weather.
Why You’ll Love It – Whether you’re hiking, camping, hunting, working around the house, or moving through low-light areas where night vision matters, the Fred delivers dependable hands-free lighting at a great price. Its dimmable white flood, red night-vision light, and simple one-button operation make it an easy headlamp to grab and go.
